讲座内容
In the United States, there are two different trends for reforming
schools. One is related to the current Obama program, called “Race to
the Top” in trying to overcome the inequalities of American Schools to
certain racial, ethnic and groups classified as poor. The other is to
improve the school in the nation’s efforts to regain its
competitiveness in a global economy. The discussion will examine how
the very approaches to reforms work against their social own
commitments: social exclusions are embodied in the efforts to produce
an inclusive society; and the efforts to improve the quality of
schools are based on historical models of what school do to school
that are no longer adequate for contemporary cultural, social and
economic changes.
